AGC LATE ENTRY (LE)
COMMISSIONS BOARD

The AGC offers opportunities for non-commissioned ranks to further their Service careers by attaining an LE Commission in the Staff and Personnel Support Branch (SPS), Provost (PRO) or Educational and Training Services (ETS) Branches of the Corps.

ELIGIBILITY, APPLICATION PROCESS, SELECTION PROCEDURE, COMMISSIONING, TRAINING AND TIMETABLE

All the details of the above are located in DCI Army 9/04.

ASSESSMENT BOARD

GENERAL

The LE Commissions Assessment Board (a 3-day event) takes place annually in the first week in Sep at Worthy Down, Winchester. It is administered and organised by a SO3 Project Manager from the AGC Recruiting and Liaison Staff. All the assessments in and the organisation of the Board are based on the Regular Commissions Board.

DIRECTING STAFF

The Directing Staff on the Board are representatives nominated by each of the Branch Directors. The President of the Board will be the Regt Col and the rest of the Board is made up as follows:

ASSESSMENTS

The Assessment Board includes:

  • Interviews.

  • Academic tests - including a Comprehension, Essay and Current Affairs Test.
    There will also be a numeracy predictor test and a number of psychometric tests.

  • Leaderless Command Tasks.

  • Leader Led Command Tasks.

  • Obstacle Course (which includes a short run).

  • Group Discussions.

  • Lecturette.

  • Planning Exercise.

BOARDING & REPORTS

Boarding takes place directly after the final detail on the Thursday. Reports are compiled and sent to MCM Div by 1500hrs on the Friday.
